Imelda "Nelda" Alvarez

Imelda "Nelda" Alvarez, age 78, passed away on September 23, 2014. Nelda was a loving and giving mother, and grandmother. She owned and worked at Action Services for over 50 years. She was loyal, dedicated, and took great pride in helping her customers. Her legacy will live on in her clients and her family. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her son, Abel Castillo Jr. Nelda leaves behind her loving partner, Joe G. "Gibo" Tamez; daughters, Norma Jean Alaniz (Enrique De La Garza), Elizabeth Castillo (Minandro Mojica Jr.); son, John J. (Mary Frances) Alvarez; sisters, Eva Morales, Mary Aparicio; brother, Rudy Morales; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to her loving partner Joe "Gibo" Tamez and Dubuis Hospital for their special and attentive care. Memorial Visitation will be held at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 3 to 6 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 pm.
