Irene Arellano Soto

Irene Arellano Soto, age 64, passed away on June 17, 2015. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved all kinds of music from Tejano, to oldies; she loved to dance, and loved her family. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Elvira Arellano. Irene leaves behind her loving spouse Mario Soto; only son, Albert Mendez, Jr.; grandson, Alexander "Alex" Mendez; brother and sisters, Ignacio N. Arellano, Mary A. (Ramiro) Perez, Janice Smoot; niece and nephews, Lori Perez, Steven Perez, and Jake Smoot; numerous other family and friends. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10 am; cremation will follow.
