Isabel Castanon

Isabel Castanon, 64, passed away on December 1, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Enrique and Marcela Garcia; husband, Jose T. Castanon; daughter, Gracie Perez. Isabel leaves her children to cherish her memory, Elizabeth Cox (Troy), Melissa Hernandez (Richard), Joseph Castanon (Lori), Henry James Castanon (Aaron), Joey, Cindy, Patricia, and Demetrius Castanon; 18 grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Garcia (Lucy), Juan Garcia (Josie), Rosa Serna, and Jesusita Garcia. Isabel loved her Cowboys and Spurs and enjoyed watching their games. She was the matriarch of the family. She loved to cook and spend time with the family. Isabel was a mother figure to many of her extended family. The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 4,2017 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 to Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church for where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
