Jack Perales Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on August 19, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jack lived a full and meaningful life devoted to his family, his work, and his love of the outdoors.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy for a total of eight years—from June 1970 to June 1974, and again from April 1979 to April 1983. His time in service shaped his strong sense of discipline, loyalty, and integrity—qualities that defined him throughout his life.
After his military service, Jack built a successful career working in several Texas cities, including Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, and Garland. No matter where life took him, he made lasting friendships and was known for his strong work ethic and kind spirit.
Jack was married to his loving wife, Janie H. Perales, for 42 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and faith. Janie remains to cherish his memory and the many beautiful moments they shared.
In his free time, Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He loved being outdoors and sharing those experiences with his family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Janie H. Perales; his children, Jack Perales Jr., James Christopher Perales, Raul Roberto Perales, Brenda Perales Tijerina, and Marisa Perales Garcia; as well as seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who all brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Toribio (Toby) Perales (Pauline), Mary Vallejo, Gloria Shoemaker, and Maria Patricia Avalos, who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Susie Perales Lozano; and his siblings, Maria Adela Perales, Maria Sara Montes, and Susie Maria Nava.
Jack will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and devotion to family. His legacy lives on through those he loved and the countless lives he touched. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
