Jackie Lee Rocke, 61, passed away on August 9, 2026.

Born in Torrance, California, to Gil Varela Sr. and Esther Trevino, Jackie spent much of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas, later residing in Houston. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, partner, and friend whose life centered around her family.

Jackie will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unforgettable presence. She had a vibrant personality, a love for the color pink, jewelry, music, and Marilyn Monroe, all of which reflected her unique spirit. She was also an animal lover, a part of who she was that brought her joy and compassion throughout her life.

Jackie is survived by her partner, Ismael Olivo; her children, Leticha Lee Rocke, Sheldon Lee Rocke, Shay J. Mosley, and Shadonna Varela Evara; her grandchildren, Aliyah Anderson, Asia Anderson, Aden Rocke, Alijah Rollings, Sheldon S. Rocke, Keziah A. Rocke, Isabella Villarreal, and Ryan Hernandez; and her great-grandchildren, Rejell Taylor, Ka’Trell Jackson, and Musiq Beal.

She is also survived by her siblings, Gil Varela Jr., Henry Varela, and Gracie Trahern; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Varela, Henry Varela Jr., Sandra Varela, Cecilia Varela, John Anthony Varela Jr., Israel Rey Varela, Jackie Lee Noyola, Valerie Noyola, and James Noyola; along with many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gil Varela Sr. and Esther Trevino; her son, Sonny Varela; her brother, John Anthony Varela; and her nephew, Gil Varela II.

Jackie will be remembered for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her. Her family will continue to carry her memory in their hearts forever.

The family extends their gratitude for the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Jackie’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM; with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
