Jacob John Velasquez, AKA Psycho, age 43, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, in Alice, TX. Born on October 19, 1980, in Corpus Christi, TX, he was a man whose vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting imprint on all who knew him. Jacob's life was one of joyous dedication to his family, his work, and his passions. He shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved wife, Francine Velasquez; who stood by him through every season of life. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their four daughters, Brittney Nycole Velasquez, Nadia Isidora Velasquez, Norissa Angelique Velasquez, Nya Nevaeh Velasquez, and their son, Athanasios Stamatakis. Jacob's legacy of love and laughter continues through his cherished grandchild, Juan Carlos Logan. Jacob was the heart of his family, a role he shared with his two sisters, Natalie Hall and Audrey Cavasos, and his brother, Robert Lee Velasquez Jr. Together, they forged memories filled with joy, support, and the kind of laughter that echoes through time. Memories his father, Robert Lee Velasquez Sr., and mother, Norma Jean Velasquez, will forever cherish. Professionally, Jacob was a skilled painter, known for his meticulous work and the pride he took in every stroke of the brush. His colleagues admired his dedication and the warmth he brought to every job site. Jacob's work ethic was matched only by his commitment to the community, as he involved himself in various associations. Jacob was always eager to lend a hand or share his expertise. Jacob's interests were as vibrant and engaging as his personality. He was often the center of attention, not because he sought it, but because his natural charisma drew people to him. His sense of humor was a gift he freely gave, finding joy in making others laugh and brightening their days. Jacob had a keen sense for business, and he loved making money—not for its own sake, but for the opportunities it provided to bring people together, especially during his famous cookouts. There, surrounded by friends and family, Jacob would showcase his barbecuing skills, much to everyone's delight. A devoted sports fan, Jacob's enthusiasm for his favorite teams—the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns—was infectious. He celebrated their victories with gusto and remained steadfast through their defeats, embodying the true spirit of a loyal supporter. Jacob's life was a testament to the power of positivity, the strength of family, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. His absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Yet, the memories he created, the love he shared, and the laughter he inspired will continue to resonate, a comforting reminder of a life well-lived. Jacob John Velasquez will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his generous spirit. As we bid farewell to Jacob, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared and the lessons he taught us about love, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. Rest in peace, Jacob. Your memory will forever be a beacon of joy and love in the lives of those you leave behind.
