James Wayne Maxwell

James Wayne Maxwell was born on January 7, 1939 to James Wesley and Avis Maxwell in Freer, TX. He passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 at the age of 78 with his wife by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wesley and Avis Maxwell.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his family: wife, Emelinda “Linda” Maxwell; brother, Carlton Leon Maxwell of Kingsland; sisters, Alice Marie Lame (Eugene) of Kingsland, Jeanne Baldeschwiler (Wesley) of George West; sons, James Lee Maxwell, Michael Wayne Maxwell (Jenn); stepson, Jason Lee Tumlinson (Michelle); daughter, Ruby Jane Ashbury; nine grandchildren four step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 10 to 11 in the morning; where a Chapel service will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Funeral cortege will depart from Treviño Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017, to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery where Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
