Jane Marie Ottis

Jane Marie Ottis, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Her smile would light up any room. Jane loved to sew, cook, and entertain her family and friends. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and also each one of her itty-bittys; they were her whole world. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Susie Werlla; nephew, Wesley Werlla; sister, Judy Werlla; nephew, Gregory Dean "Bebo" Knost; and niece, Sherrie Lynn Ottis. Jane leaves behind the love of her life; her loving husband of 56 years, Edward J. Ottis; children: Michael John Ottis, Steve Ray (Sherri) Ottis, Julie Ann (Robert) Cornett; sisters: Jo Ellen (Greg) Knost, Sue (Brent) Kirby, Joy (David) Haney; brother, Jerry Ray (Debbie) Werlla; grandchildren: Darah Ottis, Brian Ottis, Catherine (Nick) Brimhall, Jessalyn (Cory) Pierce, Morgan (Dale) Klepac; 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Holy Cross School Foundation in Bay City, Texas. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 4 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado, TX.
