Jessica Quintanilla Armadillo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 17, 2025, in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on December 5, 1979, Jessica was a radiant spirit who brought warmth and joy to the lives of all who knew her.
Jessica's life was characterized by her selfless nature and unwavering commitment to her family. She consistently placed her loved ones at the forefront of her heart and actions, ensuring that their happiness came first. Her infectious smile could light up any room and remained steadfast even in the face of adversity and pain. Through all the trials she faced, she stood by her family, showing remarkable strength and resilience.
An adventurous soul, Jessica enjoyed traveling with her children and husband, Carlos Armadillo, Jr., creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Her interests extended into the fascinating world of the paranormal, where her curiosity knew no bounds. She sought out experiences that enriched her life and those of her loved ones, always eager to explore, learn, and enjoy the beauty in the world around her.
Jessica is survived by her devoted husband, Carlos, and their three children, Isaac Angel (Alyssity) Armadillo, John Carlos Armadillo, and Jasmine Rose Armadillo. She was a proud grandmother to John Carlos "Gordo" Armadillo, Johnathan Carlos "Tres" Armadillo, Estyn "Peaston" Armadillo, and Uriella "Princess" Armadillo, as well as the eagerly anticipated arrival of another grandchild, Jay Royal Armadillo.
She leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Jane Valles, and her brother, Gabriel (Vanessa) Quintanilla. She is also survived by her loving in-laws, Sylvia and Carlos Armadillo, who cared for her as one of their own and were always there for her. Jessica cherished her extended family, including her nieces and nephews, Mercedes Quintanilla, Dalilah Quintanilla, Rene Quintanilla, Briana "Nanas" Quintanilla, Natalia "Booger" Quintanilla, and Elisha Quintanilla, all of whom will carry her memory forward.
Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Rudolfo Quintanilla, Jr.; her cherished cousin and best friend, Veronica Zamora; her cousin, John James Medrano; her beloved grandmother, Refugia Quintanilla; her favorite aunt, Mary Guadalupe Reyes; and the family dog, Chloe. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memory will forever be honored.
As we remember Jessica Quintanilla Armadillo, let us celebrate her life full of love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends who will forever treasure the moments they shared with her.
