Obituary

Jesus Guadalupe Rosas, better known as Jesse, passed peacefully into eternal life on August 9, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family. Jesse leaves behind a rich legacy defined by unwavering values, deep family bonds, and a life devoted to those he loved.

Jesse was the embodiment of the old-fashioned family values of respect, honesty, hard work, punctuality, and faith, which guided his path from an early age. Raised in the spirit of unity, Jesse understood well the importance of togetherness, and cherished every moment shared with his loved ones. Family was always at the heart of his world, and his fondest times were those spent playing and laughing with his grandchildren, creating memories filled with joy and warmth.

Jesse was a Jack of all trades and there was nothing he couldn’t do. From being a manager at Little Caesar’s Pizza, to delivering tools doing Hot Shots, or working with various oil field related companies, he finally retired from Quality South Texas Trucking.

Jesse enjoyed watching good old black and white western movies, Family Feud, and especially his novelas. He loved to BBQ with all his family, celebrating family unity, laughing, joking, and reminiscing, while enjoying his favorite cool beverage. He loved going fishing, but his favorite pastime was cheering on his #1 Dallas Cowboys.

Jesse’s proudest accomplishments were his children, whom he supported in every school activity or sport. Jesse was often ejected or kicked out of the field for loudly cheering on his kids, and/or for calling out the plays as he saw them. Education was important to Jesse and he earned his GED diploma and was proud to have played line-backer for the Agua Dulce Longhorns. He always encouraged his children to go to school and be active.

He is survived by his loving companion, Melissa Gonzalez; his children, Julia (Antonio Montoya) Salinas, Ashley Rosas, Jesus G. Rosas III, Jeremy Rosas, Erick (Tabitha Rudolph) Rosas, and Crespin (Averie) Rosas. Also mourning his loss are his siblings, Rosario Saenz, Isabel Griffin, Joe Rosas, Roberto (Tina) Rosas, Roberta (Javier) Deleon, Jesse (Delma) Rosas, David Rosas, Maricela Villarreal, and Santos (Monica) Rosas; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, who will forever cherish his memories.

Jesse was preceded in death by his dear parents, Guadalupe and Alicia Rosas; his grandparents, Crespin and Juanita Rosas; and his brothers-in-law, Ismael Saenz and Carlos Villarreal. Their memories remain a cherished part of Jesse’s story.

As we say goodbye, we remember Jesse for the love and strength he gave so freely. He will be greatly missed but will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him.

Jesse’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Treviño Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St., from 9:00AM until 12:30 PM; with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 11:00 AM. A Funeral cortege will depart at 12:30 PM to St. Frances Of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce to celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude at the end of Mass, with inurnment at Roberson-Collins Cemetery to be set later.
