Joann Govea

Mrs. Joann Hynes Govea passed away peacefully Saturday, May 22, 2021, at her home in Alice, Texas at the age of 63. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Govea; her son, Shawn Moulds; and her parents, 1SG (Ret) DeWitt Hynes Sr. and her mother Sylvia Hynes.

Joann is survived by her two sons, Jeremy (Lauren) Bounds and Justin (Alondra) Bounds; granddaughter, Lacey Bounds; sister, Linda Sue (Tony) Robinson; brother, DeWitt (Becky) Hynes Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Roberson Collins Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
