Joe Gonzales

Joe Gonzales passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at the age of 78. Born March 25, 1938 in Smiley, Texas to the late Pedro and Josefa Gonzales. He resided in Corpus Christi for the past fifty years. He was also a US Army Veteran, after his service he worked as a truck driver until he retired. He was a member of Corpus Christi Cathedral Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Villarreal; grandson, Jerry Villarreal; granddaughter, Sara Villarreal; brother, Nick Gonzales; sisters: Paula Gonzales, Petra Reyna, Sabina Cordero, Angelita Gonzales, Dora Sloan, and Maria Muckensturm; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elias Gonzales. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 5 to 9 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A chapel service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
