Joe P. Medina

Joe P. Medina, US Army Veteran, born on December 28, 1934, went into eternal rest on April 3, 2020 in Corpus Christi, TX.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Jose Pioquinto Medina, and his mother, Evelyn Hoy Medina; his brother, Luis Medina; and his first wife and mother of his children, Diana J. Marvel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dora V. Medina; his children, Anita Jo Medina (Michael Kennick) of San Antonio, TX, Laura Groniger (Derek) of San Antonio, TX, and Margaret Goldstein (Cary) of Los Angeles, CA; his sisters, Rita Salinas of San Antonio, TX and Patricia Hernandez (Michael) of Effingham, IL; stepchildren, Nora Ortiz of Houston, TX, Noelia Bailey (William) of Corpus Christi, TX, Ana Abrego of Corpus Christi, TX, and Fred Rene Abrego (Melissa) of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, one nephew, and extended family.

The family will hold private services; visitation, a holy rosary, and a chapel service.  Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

In an effort to comply with the state and local government guidelines regarding gatherings during this difficult time and to slow the spread of COVID-19; Treviño Funeral Home will allow 10 family members to attend these private funeral services in our facility.
