John Anthony Rivera

John Anthony Rivera passed away on June 12, 2021 at the age of 43.  He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  John was employed at HEB for over 20 years.  He loved his family and was a genuine Houston Astros fan.  He enjoyed a variety of music and loved playing his guitar.  John also enjoyed fishing and was an avid poker player.  He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

John is survived by his son, John Rivera Jr; his fiancé, Megan Zundt; mother, Debbie Nelson; father, Juan (Pamela) Rivera; siblings, Timmy Rivera, Amanda Rivera, and Anna Rivera; and nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral liturgy will follow at 7:30 PM.  Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
