John Andrew Stradtner

John Andrew Stradtner passed away peacefully in his home on July 17, 2015 in Corpus Christi, TX. He was 91. John was born on March 15, 1924 to William and Ida Mae Stradtner. He grew up in Michigan City Indiana and attended Michigan City High School. He served in the military during WWII and participated in the defense of Midway Island. He married Lois Hartke in 1945. John and Lois moved to South Bend, Indiana where John worked as a Pattern Maker. He is preceded in death by his son, Lee Stradtner (Liz) of Mechanicsville, Virginia. Mr. Stradtner is survived by his loving wife Lois; sons, Gary (Janet) Stradtner of Corpus Christi, TX; Mark (Rebecca) Stradtner of Troy, Michigan; sisters, Lola Mitchell and Katie Orlowski both of Michigan City Indiana; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
