Johnny Joe Candelaria, a beloved family man and friend to many, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on November 30, 1970, Johnny's life was marked by his infectious laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to his family. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Candelaria and Araceli Escobedo; his maternal grandparents, Juan and Teodora Escobedo; his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Olivia Candelaria; his brother, Albert Candelaria; father-in-law, Eusebio Soliz; his nephew, Frank Robert Gonzales; and nieces, Destiny Starr Gonzales and Sandra Lee Soliz. His departure to join them is a heartfelt reunion, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and love. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lorie Soliz, and their seven children, John Gabriel, Diana, Fabian, Abigail Jo, Johnny Joe Jr., Kimberly Garcia (Danny), and Kimberly Cueva (Anthony). Each of his children reflects a facet of Johnny's character, from his kindness to his zest for life. Johnny's siblings, Gilbert Candelaria (Kim), Ruby Gonzales (Frank), and Gilroy Candelaria (Celia), along with his brothers and sisters-in-law, Roxanne, Cosme Soliz (Elaine), Tony Soliz (Jessica), Cindy Soliz (Daniel), and Roland Soliz (Valerie), will remember him as the cornerstone of their family. His five grandchildren, Kiara, Aries, Adelina, John Gabriel Jr., and Jordan will grow up hearing stories of their grandfather's love and laughter. Johnny's Aunt Luci Livingston (Alan) and a special nephew, Xaiden Soliz "Papasito", his mother-in-law, Antonia Hurtado, and his father-in-law Robert Hurtado, will hold dear the memory of his playful spirit and unwavering support. Johnny's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide them. An avid outdoorsman, Johnny loved nothing more than spending time by the water with a fishing rod in hand. His passion for fishing was only matched by his love for family barbecues, where he reveled in the joy of bringing his loved ones together. The aroma of his famous grilled specialties would draw friends and family from near and far, making every gathering an event to remember. To have known Johnny was to know a man of warmth, humor, and deep affection. He was a husband who adored his wife, a father who cherished his children, a grandfather who doted on his grandchildren, and a friend who was always there when needed. His presence was a comfort, his advice a treasure, and his laughter a balm to the soul. As we bid farewell to Johnny Joe Candelaria, we celebrate a life that was rich in love and abundant in joy. Johnny's memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will continue to influence future generations. May he rest in peace, knowing that the love he shared will continue to ripple through the lives of his family and friends, as enduring and profound as the waters he so loved to fish.
