Johnny "John" Mendez

Johnny Andrew Mendez, also known as “John”, passed away at the age of 72 on November 29, 2020. He was a retired military sergeant for the U.S. Air Force and was also a retired engineer that worked at Walmart.

He was an amazing husband, father, and the best grandfather a person could possibly ask for. He was a joy to anyone who met him and is now reunited with his wife Christiana Mendez.

Johnny is survived by his children, Jessica Mendez & Marky Gamez; his grandchildren, Savannah Justine Mendez, Antonio Salazar III, Demitry Andrew Salazar; and his great grandchildren Ariyah Alaniz and Christianna Salazar.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
