John Paul Jimenez

John Paul Jimenez was born February 28, 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was called to Heaven on September 5, 2021 at the age of 54.  John resided in Portland, Texas.

He was a very honest, loving, and humble man and well known to have a big heart. The most important things in John Paul’s life were his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, and hunting. John worked hard and was always eager to share his knowledge with family and friends. He will be surely missed by so many who loved and admired him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Gutierrez.

John is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; his children, Ruth Marie, Jessica Ann, John Paul Jr. (Sarah), Kayleigh (Nathan Sr.), Joshua, Cameron, and John Alex; grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma Taylor, and Nathan Jr.; father, Juan Ortiz (Beatrice); siblings, David Ortiz (Donita), Martin Jimenez (Denise), Jay Duran (Ngoc), Mary Alice Gomez, and Amanda Gutierrez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Prayer Service to begin at 10:30 AM. A Chapel service will follow at 12:30 PM and Rite of Christian Burial and Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery will conclude services.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
