Jonathan Loyd Nelson

Jonathan Loyd "Jo Jo" Nelson was born on January 26, 1981, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Jimmy L. and Connie A. Nelson. He was the youngest of three boys.

Jonathan attended Mary Carroll High School and graduated in 1999. He was employed for a time at Hertz Rent A Car Airport and Renzen Berger Transportations.

Jonathan was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Laine Nelson; his mother, Connie A. Nelson; his brother, Jimmy "JJ" Nelson; and niece, Vivian "Vivy" Nelson, all of Corpus Christi, Texas.

He is survived by his father, Jimmy L. Nelson; brother, Jeffrey L. Nelson; girlfriend, Rebecca Vasquez; stepdaughters, Jasmine and Julie; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a close host of cousins. He was a loving family man and a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

Jonathan’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @Port Ave, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; with a Wake to begin at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
