Jonathon Ray Nunez

Jonathon Ray Nunez, age 39, joined his loved ones in heaven on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jonathon was born on January 22, 1981 in Corpus Christi to Emilio Nunez Jr. and Raquel Palomo Ainsworth.

Jonathon was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He was a graduate of Rio Hondo High School in 1999 and was currently working on an Associate's Degree.  Jonathon enjoyed working with computers and he loved the beach and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jonathon is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reymundo and Adelmira Palomo; Emilio Nunez, Sr. and Zoila; his uncles, Pete, Domingo, Reymundo Jr., and Arturo Palomo.

He is survived by his mother Raquel Palomo Ainsworth (Bill); father Emilio Nunez Jr.; brother, Mark Anthony Nunez; sisters: Crystal Nunez Herbert, (Aurelio), Omega Nunez Moya (David); niece, Emilia Frances Moya; and numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.   A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 12:00 Noon at Treviño Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Bill Ainsworth, Emilio Nunez Jr., David Moya, Aurelio Herbert, Mark Anthony Nunez, and Reynaldo Palomo.

Trevino Funeral Home requires anyone attending funeral services wear a face mask due to the current pandemic.
