Jose Pilar Contreras

Jose Pilar Contreras, age 78, passed away on June 1, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved gardening, traveling and the outdoors. He will be dearly missed. Jose leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Jacinta V. Contreras; children, Juana Luisa (Victor) Hernandez, Gerardo (Delia) Contreras, Hector (Laura) Contreras, Monica (Juan) Salazar, Gustavo (Liz) Contreras, Maria (Jack) Jauregui, Graciela Contreras, Rafael Contreras; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Jose Maria Puente; sister, Isabel Puente; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be recited at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2 pm; burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
