Jose Armando De Luna, Jr.

Jose Armando DeLuna, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 17, 2025. He was born in Laredo, Texas, on January 13, 1973, and throughout his life made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Known fondly as Mando, he was a hardworking man who took pride in being his own boss, operating Mando’s Lawn Service and More. His dedication to his work was matched only by his generous spirit; he was always outgoing and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His infectious enthusiasm for life was evident in both his personal and professional endeavors.

A passionate Houston Texans fan, Mando’s love for football was surpassed only by his deep devotion to his family. He cherished his time spent with loved ones and worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness and well-being.

Mando is survived by the love of his life for 20 years, his wife Angela Trevino. He leaves behind three sons, Jose Armando Deluna III (Jocelyn Morin), Michael Robert Deluna, and Thomas Deleon, as well as one daughter, Emily Vela (James Vasquez). He was a proud grandfather to Karter Rey Deluna. Mando is also survived by his two sisters, Kristine Galvan (Richard) and Lisa Ruiz (Raul); three brothers, his twin brother, Jose Guadalupe Deluna, Robert Deluna (Lily), and Ricky Deluna; in-laws, Berta and Jesse Aleman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will all deeply miss him.

Jose is preceded in death by his mother, Araceli G. Deluna, and father, Jose Armando Deluna, Sr. His legacy of kindness, love, and hard work will continue to inspire those who knew him, and he will be remembered for his unwavering faith and devotion to family.

A Memorial Service honoring Jose’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will begin at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that afternoon.
