Jose Luis "Joe" Salinas

Jose Luis "Joe" Salinas, a cherished son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 62 in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on September 10, 1962, in the same vibrant city, Joe's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Victorino Salinas his brother, Jesus Salinas, and his sister, Maria F. Salinas. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his beloved mother, Fleresvinda Salinas (Alejandro Lucio), and his devoted siblings, Elizabeth Salinas, Emily Galaviz, and Rosa Salinas. Joe's spirit will also live on through the many nieces and nephews who adored their kind and friendly uncle.

A man of simple pleasures, Joe found happiness in the tranquility of fishing and in the captivation that a good movie could provide. His love for these pastimes was only surpassed by the love he had for his family and friends. Joe's presence was a comforting constant at family gatherings, where his warm smile and hearty laughter were as much a part of the festivities as the food and music.

As we bid farewell to Joe, we celebrate a life lived with an open heart and a generous spirit. His legacy is one of love, friendship, and the simple joys that make life beautiful. Joe's absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Joe’s family will receive condolence at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude at the Chapel that afternoon.
