Jose Martinez

Jose Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Paula Martinez, and siblings, Valentina Gaytan, Jesus Martinez, Maria Martinez, and Fernando Martinez.

Jose was a truck driver for many years. In his later years, he became a self-employed entrepreneur and hustled 18-wheeler tires. He loved baseball, especially the Houston Astros. Jose was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many and will be deeply missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his children, Bonita (Roman) Saenz, Melissa (Rafael) Soto, Jose (Dolores) Martinez III, John Anthony Martinez, and Yvette Martinez Bacca; other children; siblings, Beatrice Zepulveda, Juan (Julia) Martinez, Jr., and Modesto (Anselma) Martinez; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will take place on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM for Rite of Committal and Interment at Robstown Cemetery.
