Jose V. Naranjo

Jose V. Naranjo, age 80 passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born July 22, 1934 in Alice, Texas to Abelino Naranjo, Sr. and Maria Villarreal. Jose will be remembered as a hardworking man. He loved being outdoors, gardening, playing golf, and watching the Dallas Cowboy games. He was a sweet and patient grandfather with lots of life stories to tell. He loved to watch Western cowboy movies, and collecting cars. Jose came from a Musical family and picked up his guitar now and then. He had a great heart will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Abelino Naranjo Sr.; mother, Maria Villarreal, and wife, Cristelia Naranjo. Jose will live on through his children, sons, Jose Armando (Marisela) Naranjo, Antonio Naranjo, Rene (Marisela) Naranjo; daughters, Margarita Naranjo, Alicia (Rodney) Conrad, Ida (Osbaldo) Limon, Alma Naranjo, and Maria (Daniel) Treviño, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 am; burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
