Jose Raymundo Lopez

Jose Raymundo Lopez was born May 24, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Luis Eli and Rosa Maria Lopez. He passed away at the age of 67 in Corpus Christi surrounded by his family on November 9, 2022.

Mundo, as he was affectionately called, was a compassionate and dedicated man.  He took his career job as a security man very seriously.  He would show up to work in his freshly cleaned and starched uniform two hours early before his shift. He once tackled a thief suspect at the Wal-Mart parking lot and said that was his job.   He loved the Dallas Cowboys, loved to watch horror movies, and loved to go fishing. He was also great with kids.  He was his niece’s and nephew’s favorite uncle “Mundog”, especially Pam, Celina and Marco. He would love to give his grandnieces and grandnephews gadget gifts, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brother, Macario Cesar Lopez.  He is survived by his brother, Louis Mario Lopez (Thelma) of Corpus Christi; brother, Carlos Lopez of Anchorage Alaska; sister, Ana Rosa Milner of Corpus Christi, Maria Teresa Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas; his daughter, Teresa Torres also of Corpus Christi; and special friend of many years, Rosie Gomez.
