Jose A. Contreras

Jose Maria A. Contreras of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 07, 2020, at the age of 84 due to heart complications. He was born on October 14, 1935 in Gregory, TX to Jose Crispin and Josefa Aleman Contreras. Jose was formally employed by Corpus Christi Allergy and Asthma and Coastal States Refinery. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.  Jose will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo Gonzalez Contreras; and son, Gerardo Contreras.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jose C. Contreras, of San Antonio, TX and Eduardo Contreras of Corpus Christi, TX; daughters, Maria D. (Chelo) Contreras and Zandra Contreras both of Corpus Christi, TX; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5 PM to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM.  A Chapel Service will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 12 PM at Treviño Funeral Home.  A Funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 1 PM to Memory Gardens Cemetery for Rite of Committal and Interment at 1:30 PM.

Trevino Funeral Home requires anyone attending funeral services wear a face mask due to the current pandemic.
