Jose F. Rodriguez

Jose F. Rodriguez passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the age of 81. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot.  Jose was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by wife, Yolanda F. Rodriguez; parents, Antonio and Fidela Valverde; brothers, Raul Valverde, Antonio Valverde, and Ernesto Valverde; and son-in-law, Jorge Yniguez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jose F. (Michelle) Rodriguez and Daniel (Priscilla) Rodriguez; daughter, Dorothy Yniguez; sisters, Gloria Valverde, Esther (Joe) Anzualda, Bertha (Rudy) Ortiz, and Linda Hernandez; brother, Rodolfo (Gloria) Valverde; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5 PM to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 PM.  A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Trevino Funeral Home at 9:30 AM followed by Rite of Committal and Interment with full military honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
