Josefina Gutierrez

Josefina “Josephine” Gutierrez passed away on June 17, 2019, at the age of 94. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Josephine will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Horacio Gutierrez; and son, Horacio Esteban Gutierrez.

Among those left to cherish Josephine’s memory are her daughters, Grace Borchers, Diana Gutierrez, Sofia (Ernest) Solis, and Melissa (Christopher) Ort; brothers, Henry Garcia, Arturo Garcia, Bobby Garcia, and George Garcia; grandchildren, Wendy Menezes, Greg Cervantes, Bryan Ort, and Olivia Ort; and nephews and nieces .

Special thanks to Dr. Cortese and to the nurses and staff at Christus Spohn Hospital.

A memorial rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a memorial mass to follow. Private burial will take place at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
