Josephine P. Alvarado

Josephine P. Alvarado passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 61. She was like a sparkle; she lit up the room with her smile and she had a heart of gold.  She attended Ella Barnes Junior High where she was the head cheerleader and graduated from Roy Miller high school class of "77" “Once a Buc always a Buc”.  This beautiful woman had over 50 shades of personalities and she wasn’t afraid to show what person she would be on that day.  Josie was a social butterfly and was a loving sister, cousin, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria P. Alvarado.

Josie is survived by her brother, Deacon Lee Alvarado (Lupita); aunt, Mary Reyes (Manuel); and cousins, Samantha Gonzalez and Ray (Rosie) Rodriguez; and numerous other cousins.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Cathedral, 505 Upper Broadway; with a Mass of Christian burial to begin at 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
