Juan Alvarez, Jr.

Juan Alvarez, Jr. passed away on February 2, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born on May 13, 1933 to Juan Sr., and Hortencia Alvarez. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Louisa Alvarez.

Juan Jr., is survived by his daughters, Hope Villarreal (Frank), Dora Alvarez, and Esmi Hammaker; sons, Israel Alvarez, Juan Alvarez, Robert Alvarez, and John Alvarez; sisters, Amelia Martinez, Francisca Gonzalez, and Eva Livas; brothers, David Alvarez, and Enrique Alvarez; 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces , nephews and extended family members.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 8:30 am to 1:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral chapel at 1:00 p.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
