Juan also possessed a gentle spirit and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often spent casting a line while fishing or quietly feeding the birds at Cole Park.

Above all, Juan will be remembered by the family who loved him deeply. His legacy lives on through his children: Teresa Galvan (Fred), Juan Antonio Cerda, Ignacio Cerda (Margie), Monico Cerda (Sara), Rose Tagle, Ovidio Cerda (Rona), and Ruben Cerda.
