Juan Jose "John J" Gonzales

John J. Gonzales, age 77 passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013. He was born in Woodsboro, Texas on February 24, 1936 to the late Alexander and Lucia Gonzales John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was in the US Air force; then later retired from Sears after 24 years. John enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed golf, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca Gonzales; and sister, Mary Helen Flores. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jesusa Gonzales; children, Linda (Oscar) Gracia, John Gonzales, Suzanne (Jacob) Morales; grandchildren, Darren Morales, Diego Morales, Rebekah Gonzales, Makaylah Gracia; brothers and sisters, Richard (Nora) Gonzales; Mary (Guadalupe) Benavidez, Maria Trevino, Lupe (Tino) Hinojosa, Alicia Chavez, and Alex Gonzales. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
