Juan Morales, Jr., a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on January 2, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, Juan's gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew him. Juan was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid football fan, reveling in the excitement of the game and the camaraderie it brought among friends and family. Music was another of Juan's passions, as it allowed him to express the depth of his emotions and connect with others on a soulful level. His participation in the Special Olympics was a testament to his determination and sportsmanship, showcasing his belief in the power of perseverance and teamwork. Above all, Juan cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He had an extraordinary ability to make each family gathering brighter with his presence, and his laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those around him. Juan's capacity for love knew no bounds, and his kindness was a gift that he freely gave to everyone he met. While Juan's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, his legacy of love and gentleness will live on. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Morales; his sister, Angelica "Angie" Garza; his brother, Ernest "Ernie" Morales; his nephews, John "BO" Fernandez and Andrew "Andy" Cantu; his niece, Tanya Cantu; his great nephews, JP and Baby Juan Bazan; and his brother-in-law, Juan Flores. Juan's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted mother, Juanita Morales. His sisters, Beatrice "Bea" Flores, Sylvia Morales (Martin), Christina "Chris" Fernandez, Linda Bazan, and Delia "Dee Dee" Trevino (Roy), will remember their brother with fondness and love. His brothers, Gilbert Morales (Melissa) and Mark Morales, will carry forward the strength and compassion that Juan exemplified. His numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will continue to be inspired by the life Juan lived and the unconditional love he shared with each of them. Juan's life was a testament to the beauty of a kind and loving spirit. His gentle nature and unwavering kindness have left an indelible mark on the world, and his memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Juan Morales, Jr., we take solace in the knowledge that his legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched. In honoring Juan's life, we remember the joy he found in every moment and the love he spread without hesitation. His journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the impact of his gentle soul will be felt for generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Juan, until we meet again.

Juan’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will begin at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
