Juan Rivera, Jr.

Juan Rivera, Jr. passed away on July 30, 2021 at the age of 50. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

Juan was a hard working oil field driller/rig operator until he had to stop working due to health issues. He enjoyed Bar-B-Queing with his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved listening to music and dancing while enjoying his Budlight. He was constantly on the phone checking on his children making sure they were all safe and didn’t need anything. He was always very generous and ready to assist anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan R. Rivera Sr.; brother, David Rivera;  paternal grandparents, Acuncion and Olivia Rivera; maternal grandparents, Raul C. Flores and Cecilia Saenz.

Juan is survived by his wife, Terry Rivera; four daughters, Reynola (Jeffrey) Perales, Lori Marie (Herminio) Castillo, Divina Rivera, and Madison Hope Rivera; three sons, Juan (Vanessa) Rivera III, Robert Lee Carabajal Rivera, and John David Rivera; three sisters, Patricia Rivera, Missy (Adolfo) Rivera Martinez, and Rachel Rivera (JM); his mother, Odilia F. Rivera; a dear friend like a brother, Adan Gonzales; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

The Family will receive condolences on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., Alice, Texas; with a Rosary to be recited at 1:30 PM. Funeral Liturgy will follow at 2:00 PM and services will conclude with Rite of Committal and Interment at New Collins Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
