Juan Manuel Soliz, Sr.

Juan Manuel Soliz, Sr, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the age of 49. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a giant Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed family time, sitting around drinking a beer, and laughing about the good ‘ole days. He also enjoyed boxing, classic rock music, and when time permitted, he would draw and paint. Most importantly as of new, he was an avid reader of the Word of the Lord; reading his bible each day faithfully for hours on end.

Juan Manuel Soliz, Sr is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Soliz and Esmeralda Hernandez; paternal grandparents, Jesus and Juanita Soliz; maternal grandparents, Juan T. and Alicia T. Hernandez; and uncles, Guadalupe Moreno and Juan Hernandez, Jr.

Juan Manuel is survived by his son, Juan Manuel Soliz, Jr; granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Soliz; brothers, Isaac Soliz and Raul (Claudia) Soliz; aunts and uncles, Rosa (Lorenzo) Cisneros, Olga (Joe) Alaniz, Roger (Rosalinda) Soliz, Macario (Carmen) Moreno, Mary Alice H. (Jose) Torres, Bertha H. (Joseph) Rubio, and Roberto J. Hernandez; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 PM, followed by Liturgy of the Word at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
