Juan Gabriel Torres

Juan G. Torres “La Bola”, born on July 23, 1980, in San Antonio, TX, to Frances Hernandez and George Hernandez, passed away on November 21, 2024.

Juan was the proud owner of Juan Torres Concrete, where he built a reputation for his hard work and dedication. Known for his infectious smile and positive energy, Juan had a way of making everyone around him feel loved and appreciated.

Juan's love for life was evident in everything he did. He cherished his time with his wife, Maria Melissa, and their many wonderful years together. He found joy in simple pleasures—like watching TV shows with Melissa, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and working on his beloved concrete projects. Juan was especially close to his grandchildren, often doting on them and making sure they always felt special.

He had a few favorite things that always brought him happiness, including Taco Palenque and Chick-fil-A (especially on Wednesdays). He also loved dancing to cumbias and enjoying music with family and friends.

Juan's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Maria Melissa; his children, Pablo, Ruby (Esteban), Yerania, Gabriel (Valeria), Manuel, Roxanne (Arturo), and Juan (Jessenia); and his beloved grandchildren, Pablo, Arleth, Cattaleya, and Juan. He also leaves behind numerous siblings, extended family, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

Juan will always be remembered for his kind heart, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone around him feel safe and loved. He truly was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him.

Rest in peace, La Bola. You will be deeply missed but forever loved.

Juan’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
