Juan Benito "Johnny Boy" Saldaña

Juan Benito “Johnny Boy” Saldaña III passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 42.  He was a hard-working man who always provided well for his family.  Johnny boy was always ready to lend a helping hand to whomever needed anything.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esmeralda Gomez Saldaña; maternal grandmother, Amada Vega; maternal grandfather, Dionicio Rosales; maternal uncle, Martin Rosales; and brother, Juan Benito “Baby Johnny” Saldaña III.

Johnny Boy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Hilda Ann Saldaña; sons, Raymundo Ortiz, Jacob Ortiz, and Benito Ortiz; his grandmother he considered his mom, Guadalupe Rosales “MoM”; father, Juan Saldaña Jr.; paternal grandmother, Irma Mancha; siblings, Joe Garza Jr., Jolynn Garza, Arturo Villarreal, Marlynn Villarreal, Mary Jane Villarreal, Mary Lilian Saldaña (Chris)  Elizondo, Irma Linda Saldaña (Samuel) Acosta, Esther (Jesse) Martinez, Juan Benito “Juanito” Saldaña III, Lori Saldaña Perryman, and brother/best friend Javier (Monica) Gonzalez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:30 AM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a chapel service to begin at 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
