Our beloved mother, Juanita Bueno, died peacefully Wednesday, May 13, 2021. She was born in Runge, Texas to her parents, Esteban and Elisa Torres.

Our beautiful Mama was the heart and soul of our family who showed us how to love unconditionally and to be strong willed. You always welcomed everyone into your home; ready to cook something for us to eat and always willing to help everyone, no matter the situation, trusting in God with such strong faith and believing your prayers would be answered.

Juanita was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Bueno, Sr.; son, Juanito Bueno; granddaughter, Daisy Duke Rivera; grandson, Jeremy Bueno; great-granddaughter, Dylan Marie Johnson; parents, Esteban and Elisa Torres; brothers, Pantaleon Torres, Esteban Torres Jr., and Jose “Chito” Torres; and sister, Tome Alvarado.

She is survived by sons, Daniel Bueno, Jesus “Jesse” (Ruby) Bueno Jr., Guadalupe Bueno, and Manuel (Suzie) Bueno; daughters, Sylvia Johnson, Rosie (Chris) Maldonado, Cynthia (Ruben) Gonzalez, Mary Ann (Rudy) Flores, and Raquel (Larry) Garcia; sister, Mary Jones; sisters-in-law, Angie Torres, Zaida Bueno, and Tina Torres; grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St, Alice, Texas; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Sandia Cemetery.

Honoring Juanita as pallbearers will be Rosendo Deleon IV, Florentino Rivera III, Jeremy Johnson, Pete Ramirez, Manuel Bueno Jr., and Larry Garcia Jr.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
