Juanita Ramon Zamora

Juanita Ramon Zamora, daughter of the late Jose and Teresa Ramon, was born February 12, 1921 in Orange Grove, TX. Juanita was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and was regarded as an excellent seamstress. She had a generous spirit and pleasant personality, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of her family and all who knew her. She quietly departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by her family at her home.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Zaragoza Zamora, and son, Oscar Lamar Zamora. She is survived by seven children, Irene Herrrera of San Antonio, TX, Zaragoza Zamora Jr. (Carol) of Alice, Noe Zamora (Camila) of Corpus Christi, Olga Cervantes (Mike) of Alice, Adan Zamora (Noelia) of Corpus Christi, Susana Garcia of Alice, Melba Garcia (Joe) of Alice; 19 Grandchildren; 32 Great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her youngest sister, Diamantina Cedillo (Sijifredo); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rites of Christian burial will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at Figueroa Cemetery. Arrangements are by Treviño Funeral Home Alice. The family of Juanita R. Zamora wishes to extend our sincere thanks to New Century Hospice nurse Jennifer Espinoza, RN and staff, VA Health Services nurse Anna B. Ramirez, RN and staff, Ida Herrera for her delicious food, and her generous neighbors.
