Juan Jose "Johnny" Hernandez

Juan Jose “Johnny” Hernandez passed away on March 26, 2020 at the age of 57.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  His favorite pastime was camping at Gardner State Park, which included fishing and Bar-B-Quing.  He will be missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Maria Hernandez; his brother, Albert Hernandez; and his sisters, Rosie Hernandez and Diana Chapa; and brothers-in-law, Carlos Chapa and Emilio Ruiz, Sr.

Left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his children, Sylvia Hernandez (Edward), Rosa Zavala (Mark), Tanya Maldonado (Israel), Johnny Hernandez, Jr. (Martha), and Joe Castillo; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Elisa Morin (Fermin), Mary "Mere" Hernandez, Janie Ruiz (Arturo), and Esperanza Ruiz; brothers, Celestino Hernandez (Maria) and Lupe Hernandez (Ida); sister-in-law, Mary Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Services will be private for the Hernandez family.  Interment will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
