Julio Reyna passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the age of 70. He was born July 23, 1950 in Hebbronville, TX to Aniceto and Senona Reyna. Julio was raised in Corpus Christi, TX and was a 1969 graduate of Miller High School.
Julio married his wife Minerva E. Reyna of 39 years on February 27, 1982. He worked at Asarco for 17 years, CCISD for 3 years, and retired from Driscoll Hospital after 29 years. Julio was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and a friend to many. He enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboy football, attending church, going hunting, fishing, doing yardwork, barbecuing, and buying or selling at the flea market. Julio will always be remembered for his love of his family, friends, and animals and his great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul Andrew Reyna; and brother, David Aranda.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Minerva E. Reyna; children, Patricia Reyna (Adrian Roper), Julio Antonio Reyna (Jennifer), Jennifer Maldonado (Lorenzo), Ashley Reyna (Eli Guerra), and Jacob Reyna (Nicole); siblings, Aniceto Reyna (Connie), Richard Reyna (Gracie), Ruben Reyna, Rogelio Reyna, Robert Aranda, Maryanne Rodriguez (Juan), and Senona Casas (Javier); 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021, to Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
