Julio T. Rios, Jr.

Julio T. Rios, Jr. passed away on March 10, 2018 at the age of 83. He was retired from Houston Independent School District after 20 plus years of service. He was an avid reader and an amazing story teller. Julio also had a passion for drawing. He was a loving companion, brother, grandfather and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julio T. and Sara T. Rios; sister, Norma L. Rios.

Julio is survived by his companion of 25 years, Estefania Reyna of Alice; brothers, Robert Rios, Rolando Rios, Rogelio Rios; sisters, Josephine Rios, Olga Rios; step-daughter, Melissa (Edward) Lozano; grandchildren, Christopher Gonzalez, Chloe Lozano, Cameron Lozano, Casey Lozano; great grand children, Keira Everitt and Jaxson Gonzalez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
