Kay Frances Prescott loving wife, mother, and grandmother went peacefully to be with her Lord February 3rd, 2015. Kay was born June 4, 1940 in Keokuk, IA. She graduated High School in Paris, IL. She lived in the Chicago area or about 40 years where she enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River weekends with family and friends. She also loved taking many walks with her children and grandchildren. Kay retired from the NE Illinois Agency for Aging in Chicago where she assisted in finding employment for in need Senior Citizens. Kay moved to Corpus Christi in 2009 where she loved being surrounded by all her children and grandchildren. Kay was a beautiful, very kind hearted and nuturing person who saw the goodness in everyone and never judged anyone. She was quiet, but observant and would offer simple but sound advice. Mom enjoyed many weekends with family and friends at the Corpus Christi beaches. Kay was very spiritual and fond of collecting Angels, and now she is one. Kay was predeceased by her parents Earl & Merle Rice, sister Clarita Stoneking, and Phil Hottell, the father of children Cindy and Jeff. Kay is survived by Mike Prescott, her devoted husband of 48 years, daughter Cynthia Barton, son Jeffrey Hottell (Brenda), daughters Lisa Ryan (John),and Kimberly Clouston (Eric), all of Corpus Christi, TX. Sisters Janice Painter (Monmouth IL) and Linda Lewis (Keokuk, IA), grandchildren Lindsey Hottell, Whitney Granado, Tony Ryan, Michael Clouston, Brock Barton, Elizabeth Clouston,all of Corpus Christi, TX and Reece Hottell of Monmouth, IL and many nieces and nephews. Private services for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 7th.
