Kenneth Edward Bourassa

Kenneth E. Bourassa, 84, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Angel Bright Hospice, Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX.  He was born on February 9th, 1940, in Dalton, MA, to his mother, Eva Gurski and father, Gerald Bourassa.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva, his father, Gerald, and his sister and her husband, Janet and Paul Perachi, all of Pittsfield, MA. Ken is survived by his son, Bennett Bourassa and his wife, Sandra Bourassa, of Milton, FL, his son Jason Bourassa, of Austin, TX, and his daughter, Jill Keith, of DeFuniak Springs, FL.  Ken is also survived by five grandchildren, Jacob McCrory, and his wife, Kendra, of Goldsboro, NC, Melissa Bourassa, of Pascagoula, MS, Jeremy McCrory, of Atlanta, GA, Brianna Bourassa, of Houston, TX, and John Bourassa, of Houston TX.  Ken has also been blessed with five great grandchildren.

After graduating from Dalton High School in Dalton, MA, Ken joined the US Air Force and served on various bases located in the continental US over the next four years.  When his military service ended, Ken moved to Corpus Christi, TX, where he remained for the rest of his life.  He had an entrepreneurial spirit and began his first business in main frame computing to provide accounting services to client businesses.  He also began a business developing and hosting websites. Later, he owned a business selling catamarans on Corpus Christi Bay. Finally, in his retirement years, he spent his time gardening and selling a variety of tomato seedlings, pepper seedlings, and various other seedlings at various farmers markets and roadside locations in Corpus Christi. He was fond of cooking and grilling delicious meals, listening to great music, and was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs.
