Kenneth Edward Lee, Sr., a cherished family man, respected veteran, and friend to many, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on September 11, 1948, in Alice, Texas, Kenneth's life journey was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and friendly demeanor that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Kenneth was a proud Marine Corps veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. His commitment to service was a defining aspect of his character, and it instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, Kenneth found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to go fishing, feeling at peace by the water with a fishing rod in hand. His skill at playing pool was well-known among his friends, and he relished the friendly competition and banter that accompanied each game. Kenneth's laughter and stories were a staple during these gatherings, and his presence made every moment more enjoyable. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs, Lady and Snowball, who brought him endless joy and comfort in his daily life. Kenneth's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilie Edward Lee and Ada Henry Lee; his grandchild, Jaymen Torgersen; and his siblings, Bobby Dean Lee, Willy Ruth, Vernan Joyce Lee, and Ernest Lee. Their memories remain a beacon of love and strength for the family. He is survived by his loving children, Vanissa L. Lee, Kenneth E. Lee, Jr., and Corinne Torgersen. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, LaDarria Lee, Kendrick Lee, Rayonna Carr, Robert Carr, Kya Lemle, Hannah Lee, Jahliad Morgan, Josiah Morgan, Jahlisiah Morgan, and Jahyssiah Morgan; as well as his great-grandchildren, Antonia Lee, Royelle Norwood, Darius Norwood, Micah Johnson, and Iris C. Chowns, who will forever cherish the wisdom and affection he imparted. Kenneth also leaves behind his brother, Roland Lee (JoAnn), with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.

Kenneth's life was one of connection and warmth, touching the lives of all who knew him. His friendly demeanor and kind spirit made him a beloved figure in his community. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Kenneth will remember him for his generous heart and the genuine care he showed to others.

As we bid farewell to Kenneth Edward Lee, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey filled with meaningful connections, and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide us. His spirit, characterized by generosity and compassion, will remain a guiding light for his family and friends. Kenneth’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Celebration of Life to begin at 12:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel.

Rite of Committal and Inurnment with Full Military Honors will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
