Kimberly Diane Fergel, aged 51, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024. Born on November 5, 1972, Kimberly's vibrant spirit and infectious love for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was a beacon of joy, always ready to share a laugh or lend a supportive hand, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
Kimberly proudly served her country as a member of the United States Navy, a period of her life that instilled in her a sense of discipline and camaraderie that she carried into her civilian life. Her love for her country was only matched by her love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Martin Allen Fergel, and their two beloved children, Andy and Brett Fergel. Kimberly also leaves behind her cherished aunt, Cathy Heath; her cousin, Steve Williams; and her mother, Anita Carol Serney. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Hill "Mamo."
Those who knew Kimberly will remember her for her exuberant passion for all things that sparkle. Her love for bling and glitter was a reflection of her bright personality. A country girl at heart, she found solace in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to her cows, casting a line while fishing, or hitting the shooting range. Dragonflies held a special place in her heart, symbolizing change and self-realization, themes that resonated deeply with her.
Kimberly's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to be unabashedly herself. Her memory will continue to shine brightly, like the glimmering decorations she so adored, in the hearts of those she touched. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of the things she loved, surrounded by the people who loved her. Kimberly’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Prayer Service to be recited at 12:30 PM.
