Krystal Elizabeth Cruz

Krystal Elizabeth Cruz 31, passed away January 4, 2023, after fighting a long term illness.

She was born to Veronica Cruz Salinas and was born and raised in Corpus Christi.

Krystal loved to conversate about anything, but especially how tall her daughter Serenity was getting. She loved to sing and listen to the radio, and especially loved to watch everyone cook her favorite meals. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed how everyone enjoyed themselves. She always praised her siblings as they reached important milestones in their lives. She always made it a point to tell everyone how she was proud of them and never went to bed without saying goodnight and saying she loved them.  She loved to meet new people and would ask how their day was going. She was someone who lived a lifetime with the strongest will to overcome anything.  We will always be inspired by her light that only she could hold. She was our phoenix.

Krystal was proceeded in death by her daughter, Melody Norma Cruz; her maternal grandmother, Norma Cruz Garcia; her maternal grandparents, Virginia Garcia Cruz and Florentino N Cruz; and her step grandfather, Charles A Salinas.

She is survived by her mother, Veronica Cruz Salinas and Christopher Salinas; her daughters, Serenity Estringel and Cambrie; her sisters, Christy Morales and Makayla Salinas; her brothers, Christopher Salinas Jr and Jaiden Salinas; and her nephew, Ashton Alves. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters by her paternal father.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave. A Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 AM and Liturgy of the Word will begin at 10:30 AM followed by Inurnment at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
