Lee Roy Lopez, Sr.

Lee Roy Lopez Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the age of 53. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who spent most of his days admiring his family, letting them know how proud he was of each one of them and making sure they knew his love for them was unconditional. He enjoyed the days that turned into nights being silly with his wife. Lee Roy was truly a family man.

Lee Roy was a hard worker and enjoyed listening to music and dancing; and especially loved family gatherings, barbequing, and enjoying his favorite beverages. He had a lot of respect and love for his Mother and would always greet her with a hug and kiss; every time he would leave he would say, “I love you Mom". Lee Roy will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Lee Roy is preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria Lopez Sr; sisters, Eliza L. Cruz and Graciela Deleon; brother-in-law, Rolando Cruz; son-in-law Jacob I. Lopez  and nephew, Mingo Lopez.

Lee Roy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Eliza Lugo Lopez; daughters, Veronica Lopez, Priscilla (Tracee) Villegas, and Julie Marie Lopez; sons, Joseph (Monica) Carrillo and Lee Roy (Klarissa) Lopez Jr; mother, Maria Lara Ramirez; brothers, Jose Maria (Andrea) Lopez Jr. and Michael (Melissa) Lopez; sisters, Cynthia Rosas, Anna Maria Esparza, and Criselda Salas; niece, Jessica Cruz whom he loved and treated like a sister; grandchildren, Luis R. Davila III, Briana L.Davila, Jackie Lopez, Jacob I. Lopez Jr, Isaiah Julian Carrillo, Bo Daniel Lopez and Lillian Angelita Buentello; two great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., Alice, Texas; with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at New Collins Cemetery.

Honoring Lee Roy as pallbearers will be Christopher Gomez, Joaquin Salas, Carlos Esparza, Daniel Lopez, Larry Rosales, and Joe Quintanilla.
