Lucia Galindo, born on March 4, 1945, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. Throughout her 81 years, Lucia’s gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and joyful passion for life touched everyone who knew her.
Lucia was a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Galindo, as well as her siblings, Jose Coronado, Antonio Coronado, and Socorro Coronado, and her parents, Manuel and Catalina Coronado. Their memories remained close to Lucia’s heart, and she kept their spirits alive through her stories and her enduring love.
Left to honor her legacy and celebrate her life are her beloved children, Frank Galindo (Manuela Galindo), Joe Galindo, and Sarah Galindo, as well as her brother, Exiquio Coronado. Lucia was also a proud grandmother to April Galindo, Savannah Bustamante, Jeremy Bustamante, Martha Alvarez, David Licea, Gabriel Licea and Crystal Licea. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Eli Crawford, Leander Crawford, Scarlett Crawford, and Lydia Crawford, who brought joy and laughter into her later years.
Lucia approached each day with warmth, curiosity, and gratitude. She found great joy in tending to her garden, nurturing both plants and the souls around her with equal care. Her weekends were often spent exploring garage sales and flea markets, always searching for treasures and unique jewelry pieces that caught her discerning eye. Her passion for collecting was matched only by her gift for giving, as she delighted in surprising loved ones with thoughtful finds.
A woman of deep faith, Lucia’s greatest comfort and strength came from her relationship with God. She loved attending church and cherished the sense of fellowship and peace it brought her. Her unwavering connection to her faith provided guidance and hope, inspiring those around her to seek kindness and understanding in their own lives.
Her family and friends will remember Lucia for her compassion, her sparkling sense of humor, and her ability to find beauty in life's simple moments. She taught by example, demonstrating the value of love, perseverance, and generosity in every aspect of her life.
Lucia’s memory will be held in the hearts of all who knew her. Her presence, her wisdom, and her kindness will remain a guiding light for her family and community.
